I studied architecture and work in software quality assurance. The two fields sound unrelated, and mostly they are — but both come down to understanding how something will be used, and making sure it holds up.
During the day I run test cases and write automation. In the evenings I sketch floor plans. Neither side needs to explain the other — they're just what I do.
